Yes! An active subscription to the Fort app comes with a license to use all the fonts in the app similar to how you would if you'd purchased a Desktop License for each font family. This includes coverage things like print and digital design, logos and brand designs, etc. Check out the EULA for more details.

Yes! Whenever we release a new font family, it will automatically be added to the app. You can activate and use any new fonts instantly through the app. No license purchase necessary, no extra fees—just more fun fonts at your fingertips!

Yes. Once fonts are activated through the app you will be able to continue using them until you deactivate them or your subscription expires.

Full web font support is planned for a future update—stay tuned! If you need web fonts in the meantime, we still offer all our retail licenses which can be purchased on each font's individual page on our website. Members with an active subscription to our app receive a 15% discount on all retail licensing. Check the Rewards page in the app for your exclusive discount code!

Font files (e.g. OTF, WOFF, etc.) are not accessible via the app. If your client needs to use the fonts directly, they'll need their own license—whether through purchasing a retail license or their own subscription to the app depending on their needs.

We’re starting with macOS for now. If you'd like the app to support other operating systems (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Windows, etc.), please get in touch to let us know!

You may cancel your subscription at any time—which means that it will not automatically renew and you won’t be billed again. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the current subscription period has ended. You may use the app and any of the fonts in it until then.

Any work created using the fonts while you have an active subscription, including during your free trial, is covered by our Application EULA. When in doubt, check the EULA out.

Fonts activated through the Fort app are ready to roll in any desktop design tool that uses your system’s fonts—things like Figma, Affinity, Illustrator, Pages, etc.

However, web-based apps like Framer and Canva don’t have access to fonts installed on your computer, even through their own desktop apps. Those platforms require either uploaded font files or a hosted webfont connection, which isn’t part of the app (yet).

No. Sharing your account, subscription, or access with anyone else is a serious breach of our application's EULA. We've priced our subscriptions to be accessible to as many people as possible without sacrificing value. If you need financial assistance, please contact us.

A credit card on file ensures that you're able to continue using the fonts after your trial expires. But fear not—we'll send you a reminder before you are charged, and you can cancel any time.

Yes! Currently-enrolled students are eligible for a free subscription to the Fort app.

To get your student subscription, please send us the following:

• The dates of your academic program
• Proof of enrollment, like a photo of your student ID or a class schedule with your name

In the meantime, you’re welcome to download the app to start a subscription + trial for the app, as we can apply your student discount after you’ve signed up.

The same discount is available to teachers if the Fort app is provided to their class. Contact us to discuss setting up your class, teaching with the Fort app, or any other questions.

Your subscription begins with a 7-day free trial for you to evaluate the fonts. Our payment processor (Stripe) requires a payment method when signing up, but you will only be charged after your trial ends.

You may cancel at any time in Account Settings (from the menu bar: Help > Account & Subscription). If you cancel before your trial has ended, you will not be charged.
